As an employer and Licenced Asbestos operator, Edenbeck is fully committed to the ongoing training and development of our staff, throughout the organisation – from Directors to Operatives.
We invest over £100,000 a year on staff training and continuously assess our performance against our goals using our Training Needs Analysis (TNA) programme. This programme involves the ongoing analysis of a range of activities with the objective of identifying where we can make our knowledge and operating base even more robust while improving our performance.
These training needs are captured using many different processes, including: –
Any training needs are addressed at the specific point in time and where possible dealt with immediately, where our TNA process identifies more general requirements across the business, we often arrange group training sessions.
The last such session was delivered recently to our senior management team and Supervisors by our external training partner ACAD, who designed a bespoke course to cover the following areas that we had identified through our TNA process.
The feedback from the staff who attended was that the session helped them to better understand the compliance issues covered and we have already experienced the benefits of this on some of our Notifiable works where we have seen a reduction in nonconformances and more efficient and clearer Method statements.
Training Needs Analysis is an ongoing process that directly benefits Edenbeck and its Clients whilst ensuring the continuous improvement and compliance with HSG 247 – The Licenced Contractors Guide Chapter 4, Training for employees, supervisors and staff working with asbestos containing materials.
We look forward to continuing to develop this important process within our business and continuing to deliver efficient, safe and compliant Abatement works to our clients.
